01 — THE STIM DIFFERENCE

The capability demanding OEM programs require. The scale where yours still gets senior attention.

STIM is a Canadian high-reliability electronics manufacturing partner for OEMs with complex, high-mix programs that need responsive execution, disciplined quality and direct access to the people building their product.

Why STIM is the right fit

02 — ONE PARTNER, THE WHOLE LIFECYCLE

Every stage.
One connected partner.

01 / NPI & PROTOTYPING

Better builds begin
with better questions.

Engineering support that brings manufacturability into the conversation early, before a small detail becomes a big obstacle.

02 / PCB ASSEMBLY

Complex circuits.
Considered execution.

High-mix surface-mount, through-hole and mixed-technology assemblies, built for the complex boards your product depends on.

03 / CABLE & HARNESS

Connections that
bring it all together.

Custom cables and wire harnesses built around the electrical, mechanical and integration requirements of your application.

04 / BOX BUILD & INTEGRATION

Beyond the board.
Into the bigger picture.

Electromechanical assembly, system integration, test, configuration and packaging. You receive a finished product, not a set of parts.

05 / SUPPLY CHAIN

Keep your product
moving forward.

BOM risk reviews, obsolescence planning and inventory programs that keep your product buildable for years.

03 — BUILT FOR YOUR WORLD

Different industries.
The same exacting care.

We focus on markets where reliability, traceability and documentation matter more than the lowest unit cost.

04 — QUALITY IS A MINDSETDEFINED. DOCUMENTED. VERIFIED.

Precision is visible.
Quality goes deeper.

A flawless-looking assembly is only the beginning. Confidence comes from the process behind it: considered inspection, meaningful test data and a clear record of the build.

01

Inspect with intention.

Optical, X-ray and manual methods bring complementary perspectives to the assembly.

02

Verify what matters.

Testing connects product requirements with measurable, documented results.

03

Make it traceable.

Controlled records connect the finished product to the process behind it.

05 — IN OUR CUSTOMERS’ WORDSVERIFIED CUSTOMERS

In their words.
Not ours.

Our customers build medical, defence and infrastructure products under strict confidentiality. Choose a market to hear from a program team in that sector.

Industrial & automation NPI to production

Within a day, STIM’s engineering team returned a DFM review with eleven findings, two of which would have caused failures at first article inspection.

We had submitted what we considered a release-ready design. Identifying those issues at that stage saved us a board revision and several weeks of schedule. Our first production lot passed inspection with no open actions, which had not been our experience with previous suppliers.

Energy & environmental Repeat production

They treated the shortage as their problem to solve, not ours to manage.

When lead times on a critical processor extended beyond 40 weeks with roughly a month’s notice, STIM’s procurement team identified two qualified alternates and provided a cost comparison before we had completed our internal escalation. We qualified one of the alternates, revised the BOM and maintained every scheduled shipment. That is a large part of why we have since expanded our business with them.

Medical & healthcare Regulated program

The auditor picked three serial numbers at random. STIM provided the complete device history for each one within the hour.

That record covered component lot traceability, inspection results and test data for every unit, and the auditor moved on without further questions. Traceability that is available on demand is exactly what we require from a manufacturing partner in a regulated market, and it gives our quality team real confidence heading into each surveillance audit.

Aerospace & defence Flight hardware

It demonstrated the standard of care they apply to our product when no one from our side is present.

Most suppliers provide a basic first article checklist. STIM provided a complete package, including X-ray images of the BGA devices, dimensional measurements and a note on one marginal solder joint that had already been raised with our engineering team. That report is what established our confidence in them.

Defence Vendor-managed inventory

Finished boards stay off our books until the day our line calls for them.

STIM holds our safety stock under a vendor-managed inventory agreement and keeps the components we own in a separate, controlled area with its own counts. Each month we receive a reconciliation of what was consumed, what is on hand and what is reserved against open orders. Replenishment follows our pull schedule, and in two years our line has not stopped waiting for a board.

Defence CKD and SKD kits

Our in-country partner opened the first CKD kits and started assembly without raising a single query.

The program required final assembly abroad, so some units shipped as complete knock-down kits and others as semi knock-down sub-assemblies. STIM built both from one controlled BOM, packed every kit by work order with serialised labels and a pick list, and traced each part to its lot. When the split between CKD and SKD changed mid-program, it took a revised shipping plan, not a new supplier.
