RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First Time Build process design execution and reporting.
  • A significant requirement of the Process Engineer’s role is to monitor process performance through DMPO metrics and SMT LINES performance dashboard.
  • Create Process Assembly documentation, visual aids and fixtures.
  • Identify tooling and transport methods, and extensive knowledge on SMT Line programming, offline set ups and verification, line balancing and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of SMT processes and Pick & Place SMT machines is a MUST, and experience with SAMSUNG P&P machines would be an asset.
  • Training and certification for SMT Line operators.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze process performance problems and customer concerns.
  • Participate in cost reduction.

WORK EXPIRIENCE

  • Must have previous technical working expertise within the Electronics industry, preferably 5+ years for an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or with a contract manufacturer (CM), which would provide working knowledge and familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes and specialized techniques in handling electronic components and other miscellaneous raw materials, including analytical capability to diagnose and correct production problems.
  • Experience with product labelling is an asset.
  • Experience with Assembly procedures
  • Experience with Mechanical assembly in manufacturing.
  • Experience with implementing Engineering changes.
  • Experience with mechanical repairs and rework.

EDUCATION / COMPETENCE

  • A practical understanding of Quality Standards such as ISO9001 and ISO13485 and methodologies such as 5S, TQM, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing would be an asset.
  • Experience with Auto CAD would be an asset.
  • Experience with SPC Techniques, DMPO, DFM and FMEA would be an asset.
  • University degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manual assembly of electronic and mechanical devices according to assembly instructions, customer specifications and quality standards
  • Hand soldering of various electronic devices (surface mount and through hole) following the J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
  • Reworking thru-hole and surface mount assemblies including fine pitch components and ensuring that IPC criteria have been met according to IPC 7711/7721 standard.
  • Component preparation (forming), placement or installation
  • Visual inspection of assemblies per the IPC-A610 standard and customer specific standards
  • Product and materials packing for shipment
  • Taking part in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly
  • Participate in team level quality improvement initiatives
  • In-process Inspection and touch up of thru-hole and surface mount components using microscope.
  • Ability to demonstrate rework skills with de-soldering station and hot air gun.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year of electronic assembly experience
  • Minimum 1 year of soldering experience

EDUCATION / COMPETANCE

  • Diploma.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mount SMT components onto the printed circuit boards using pick and place machines.
  • Operating stencil printer machines, reflow oven, and conveyors
  • Inspecting paste and places parts on the board
  • Assembly tasks such as potting, cleaning, gluing, coating and epoxy bonding.
  • Maintaining all the machines and equipment on production floor as per ISO standards

WORK   EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years working in a manufacturing plant environment, preferably electronics manufacturing in a Supervisory Role
  • Coarse-fine pitch SMT soldering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of basic electronics
  • X-RAY machine operator experience an asset, but not required

  • Post-secondary education

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Joint liability for ensuring that all employees are aware of the operating practices of STIM Canada Inc. in compliance with the business management system based on the current ISO 9001standard, including maintenance and continual improvement (via internal auditing and troubleshooting quality process related problems) of the system.
  • Data analysis and review also provide dispositions as required of corrective and/or preventive actions resulting from internal non-conformities (process or product), Customer product and/or service complaints, and internal auditing in a timely manner.
  • As requested and required, dealing with Customer representatives on behalf of the Quality department in a competent and professional demeanor
  • Follow all established Business Management Procedures and make recommendations to improve processes.
  • Works under minimum direction, may perform other work as assigned by other managers, but as approved by the General Manager, and take on additional responsibilities in the continual growth of the position.

WORK  EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION / COMPETANCE

  • Electronic Engineering Technician or equivalent technical degree (5+ years of broad technical experience in electronics)
  • Experience working within an ISO9001:2000 environment, and preferably training on internal process auditing, and statistical analysis (preferably practical experiences or training on Six Sigma)
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Complete understanding of applicable workmanship, quality and other industry standards, such as: IPC, ISO, WHMIS, RoHS, etc.

Ability to read, understand and explain technical product documentation: Product Specifications, Bill of Materials, Assembly Instructions and Illustrations, Schematics, Gerber/Layout Files.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing RMAs, CARs, and NCRs
  • Performs materials and product inspections and tests as required
  • Effectively troubleshoots assembly and product quality problems
  • Accurately compiles and categorizes Quality Assurance rejects / non-conformance
  • Works safely avoiding lost time injuries
  • Follow all Business Management Procedures and make recommendations to improve processes

WORK  EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years working in an electronics manufacturing plant environment
  • Knowledge of software and its uses in generating reports, capturing data, and presenting data in an understandable format.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Experience with database systems, statistical techniques and ISO environment
  • Team-player

EDUCATION / COMPETANCE

  • Electrical Technician, technologist or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembly of PCBs
  • Assembly of Box Builds
  • Pick parts to Bill of Materials
  • Shipping per established procedures

  • Help maintain inventory accuracy
  • Daily Cycle Counts, if applicable
