POSITION SUMMARY

Account Manager plans to leverage STIMs’ position with the customers and to further penetrate relationships and increase sales. Per Customer (Account); track and manage inventory, A/R, NC/NR parts, NCR, RMA, Customer Satisfaction issues and performance metrics. Negotiate Supply Agreements and other contracts as required. Develops and refines market position through effective communication with both external customers/supplier and internal teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Provide sales & service for STIM, by creating and presenting product technical information to the existing and potential customers, coordinating customer project needs, providing product delivery information, addressing specification questions and engineering issues to achieve the design wins necessary to increase opportunities and maintain good customer relationships. Develops innovative resolutions to problems.
  • Collaborate with customers’ design engineers and Purchasing teams, as well as distributors and independent manufacturers’ sales representatives to ensure timely response to assigned customer program needs. Written and verbal communication with individuals in these functions is the primary means to fulfill this responsibility.
  • Cost Accounting: Execute detailed cost accounting activities, ensuring meticulous analysis of margins, manufacturing variances, and purchase price variances. Your expertise will guarantee accurate insights into our cost structures, enabling us to optimize our operations.
  • Strategic Quoting Support: Provide invaluable financial analysis for quoting activities and proposals of varying complexities and contract types. These assessments will directly influence our approach to new business opportunities.
  • Continuous Process Enhancement: Drive improvements in the accuracy of product costs by proactively managing product cost data. Regularly assess changes in product design, raw materials, labor, and manufacturing methods to determine their impact on costs.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Variance Explanations: Conduct in-depth root cause analyses, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of standard costs. Prepare insightful variance explanations, guiding management through expense drivers and offering strategic control recommendations.
  • Month-End Activities: Contribute to month-end cost accounting close activities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that program operational metrics are in place and are effectively managed. Monitor key operational performance metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, price for value, and use of technology.  Review company performance to standards on a regular basis reacting to metrics by identifying root cause and solutions.
  • Primary lead aligning stakeholders on deliverables, managing communication, championing meetings, and ensuring updates are provided to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, contracts, terms and conditions, technical procedures, and/or regulations furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • General understanding of financial concepts (i.e., budgeting and analysis) as well as planning, scheduling, and forecasting knowledge.

 

QUALIFICATION

  • University/College degree and applicable sales experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques, international business, and project management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive business management and/or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Two years in a Program Management role is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing best practices such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen is an asset.
  • PC Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is essential and mandatory (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, etc.) as well as other MS Office products.

POSITION SUMMARY

The QC Technologist is responsible for performing inspection of products to ensure compliance with specified requirements to minimize costly errors during production; and ensuring that the finished product is of high quality.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Inspect to IPC-A-600-REV F and IPC-A-610-REV C Standards.
  • Make sure all ISO measures and procedures are followed.
  • Regularly report any discrepancies in numbers, products, or part numbers of main inventory.
  • Ability to inspect First-Of-Articles, first off inspection, of the first 5 boards going through wave solder machine and/or SMT line(s) for each new job of each product being run.
  • Maintain necessary tools / products to carry out responsibilities, including AOI, X-ray machine, multi-meter, and other test/verification tools.
  • Perform all visual and final inspection steps per work instructions and product process plans in accordance with View Station.
  • Ensure all customer documents, BOM and special drawings or customer specs are being checked for and being followed.
  • Ensure the parts are installed on the board as per BOM and View Station.
  • Verify all processes are performed to the documentation.
  • Report all issues to Production/QC Supervisor/Manager.
  • Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

 

QUALIFICATION

  1. 3 to 5 years previous electronics QC/inspection experience and good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through-hole and SMT components, drawings and BOMS.
  2. Familiarity with ISO9001-2015 and ISO13485 procedures and QC standards are a plus.
  3. Previous experience with other standards (MIL, Aerospace, Automotive) is also a plus.
  4. Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  5. Familiar with IPC standards with respect to PCB repair.
  6. Previous Quality Control inspector: 1 year (Required).

POSITION SUMMARY

The SMT Process Engineer is familiar with setting up, programming, and maintaining automated SMT equipment, provides support and technical leadership to the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) team, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, and NPI (New Product Introduction). The Process Engineer (PE) is a critical member of STIM’s Engineering Team and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in equipment and methods of manufacturing circuit card assembly (CCA) and/or box assembly. The PE understands and executes equipment selection, performance, maintenance, and validation. PE will work in collaboration to analyze and resolve a variety of technical issues related to quality and manufacturing. The PE will ensure equipment utilization to its capabilities and optimizes performance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Interface with the Account Manager(s), Production Assistants, NPI team, QA Manager, Process Engineers and Management to achieve the following:
  • Improved efficiency (Performance to Standard, Turn Around Time, Changeover time)

  • Work on continuous improvement of the processes on the production floor to improve quality and cycle time by focusing on:

  • Generate offline programs for HANWHA (Samsung) pick and place machines; performs online verification.
  • Create and modify component profiles for SMT, SPI, AOI and Oven equipment.
  • Provides training and technical support to Engineering Techs, machine operators, and maintenance techs.
  • Routinely analyzes performance data and leads improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Applies Lean Manufacturing Techniques to improve quality/yields, reduce changeover time, and optimize lead-time and costs.
  • Manipulates data files using Gerber, ODB++, and various CAD packages.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data, aiming to enhance quality, reduce costs, and streamline delivery processes.
  • Operational Support: Provide crucial support to daily production, ensuring the achievement of production targets while reviewing and implementing customer Product Change Notices.
  • Documentation and Training: Prepare comprehensive documentation including Equipment Work Instructions and detailed reports. Offer training and guidance to engineers, technicians, and operators as needed.
  • Quality & Compliance: Adhere to the Quality Management System, maintaining a focus on creating a safe, ergonomic, and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Designs and procures tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
  • Manufacturing processes (DMAIC, PDCA, FMEA, & SPC).
  • Reviews performance outcomes, investigates problems, and ensures revisions to documented procedures.
  • Performs detailed Root Cause analysis; develops and implements resulting corrective action plans.
  • Work cross departmentally to ensure the resolution of problems and action as needed.
  • Good analytical skills, possess critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills, Such as Lean manufacturing principles (5S, 5-why, Kaizen, Just-in-time, problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.).
  • Experience with RoHS and familiar with FPC-600, IPC-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship standards.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, self-direction, and self-discipline to plan and accomplish objectives and meet deadlines with limited supervision.

QUALIFICATION

  1. Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience in the electronics contract manufacturing and/or SMT Printed Circuit Board Assembly.
  2. Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  3. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  4. Managerial experience is an asset, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manual assembly of electronic and mechanical devices according to assembly instructions, customer specifications and quality standards
  • Hand soldering of various electronic devices (surface mount and through hole) following the J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
  • Reworking thru-hole and surface mount assemblies including fine pitch components and ensuring that IPC criteria have been met according to IPC 7711/7721 standard.

  • Product and materials packing for shipment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mount SMT components onto the printed circuit boards using pick and place machines.
  • Operating stencil printer machines, reflow oven, and conveyors
  • Inspecting paste and places parts on the board
  • Assembly tasks such as potting, cleaning, gluing, coating and epoxy bonding.
  • Maintaining all the machines and equipment on production floor as per ISO standards

WORK   EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years working in a manufacturing plant environment, preferably electronics manufacturing in a Supervisory Role
  • Coarse-fine pitch SMT soldering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of basic electronics
  • X-RAY machine operator experience an asset, but not required

  • Post-secondary education

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Electronic Engineering Technician or equivalent technical degree (5+ years of broad technical experience in electronics)
